There’s Definitely Something Going On In This World We Are Unaware Of
It may just be a conspiracy… but, it may also not be…
I’m way too into conspiracy theories to not talk about what is happening right now in the world, specifically the United Kingdom.
As we all know, Roe v. Wade was just overruled in the United States. And unfortunately, it does not stop here. Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas, wants to take it another step further and reconsider contraceptive and LGBTQ rights.
If that scares you, I’m sorry to say that this isn’t even the scariest part.
After scrolling through TikTok, I came across a video by user @chelseatippins1 explaining how the UK and the US have “joined forces”.
Chelsea, who resides within the United Kingdom, explained how Dominic Raab, England’s Justice Secretary, wants to rid the UK of the European Court of Human Rights. He wants to get rid of the UK’s Human Rights Act of 1998 altogether, “by empowering UK courts and parliament to not comply with judgements of the European Court of Human Rights.” (Not gonna lie, it feels very 1930s/1940s Germany-ish).
Not only is this terrifying, but it opens so many doors for other countries — and even our government — to do the same.
